3dyne Legacy Engine

The 3dyne Legacy Project is the current incarnation of the “Darkest Days” game engine project. “Darkest Days” was developed from 1996 until 2000 by Matthias C. Berger and Simon Berger. Two demo versions were released. “DD 0.1″ at end of 1999 and “DD 0.2″ in summer 2000. The project was abandoned after the second release for a complete rewrite.

In 2012 we decided to release “Darkest Days” as open source project.

The 3dyne Legacy Engine and Tools source code was released under the GPL-3 license. The 3dyne Legacy Artwork was released under the CC BY-SA 3.0 license.
